Veteran Stinson Signs with Mustangs

Milwaukee - The Milwaukee Mustangs are pleased to announce the signing of offensive lineman Albert Stinson (6'6, 325, Jackson State) to the roster.
An arena football veteran, Stinson split time in 2010 with the Alabama Vipers and Tulsa Talons. An undrafted free agent signing of the Minnesota Vikings in 2006, Stinson also signed with the Quad City Steamwheelers of the former af2 in 2008 and played in 15 games, catching seven passes for 26 yards and two touchdowns as a lineman. Stinson also started 36 games for Jackson State in his college career and earned a preseason second-team All-Southwestern Athletic Conference selection in 2005.
Stinson spent the middle part of this season with the Pittsburgh Power before being released on June 14th. Along with newcomer James Economou, Stinson is expected to add to the depth on Milwaukee's line, as Michael Diaz was placed on injured reserve last week and Jason Jones will be receiving more playing time at fullback with Mykel Benson placed on league suspension.
There's big roster news for the defense. Defensive back Andre Jones is returning to Milwaukee after being released by the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue Bombers during training camp. Jones was a playmaker for the Mustangs earlier this season when he intercepted nine passes, broke up 13 passes, and recorded 60.5 tackles. Jones takes the place of defensive back LeRoy Smith, who was placed on injured reserve.
The Milwaukee Mustangs (4-9) travel to Pittsburgh tomorrow night to face the Power (7-6) at 6:30 p.m. (CST) in CONSOL Energy Center. The game will be broadcasted live on 540 ESPN Milwaukee radio and espnmilwaukee.com and can be viewed online on NiFTyTV.
The Mustangs return home on July 2nd when they do battle against the divisional rival Cleveland Gladiators (7-6) at 7 p.m. in the Bradley Center.
