Jacksonville Sharks News Release
JACKSONVILLE - The ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced Monday that wide receiver Bobby Sewall has been activated from League Suspension.
The 24-year-old Sewall (6'1", 195) has played in 13 games this season and is the team's fourth-leading receiver, totaling 52 receptions for 694 yards and 12 touchdowns in his rookie Arena Football League campaign. Sewall is averaging 13.3 yards per reception, which is tops among the team's top five receivers.
Sewall enjoyed perhaps the best game of his young professional career in Week 13 against Tampa Bay, when he racked up seven catches for 130 yards and three touchdowns. He found the end zone twice against the Orlando Predators in Week 11, and grabbed a season-high 11 passes in Week 7 against Spokane.
Before joining the Sharks, Sewall spent four years at Brown University, where he put together a stellar collegiate career. After working his way into the lineup as a freshman (7 receptions, 55 yards), he caught at least 66 passes in each of his final three years at the school. He recorded a career-high 69 catches for 948 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior in 2008, leading the team in all three categories. Overall, Sewall racked up 210 receptions for 2,141 yards and 16 touchdowns at Brown. Sewall is a native of Portsmouth, RI.
The Sharks made another roster move Monday, announcing that defensive lineman Jimmy Saddler-McQueen has been placed on reassignment. Following Monday's transactions, the Sharks' roster currently stands at the AFL maximum of 24 active players. About the Jacksonville Sharks
