JACKSONVILLE - The ArenaBowl XXIV Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced Monday that defensive back Micheaux Robinson has been activated from the Arena Football League's other league exempt list.

The 29-year-old Robinson had signed with the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes and was placed on the exempt list on May 30. The Alouettes released Robinson this past Friday.

Robinson began the 2012 season with the Philadelphia Soul and was acquired by Jacksonville in exchange for defensive lineman T.J. Langley on May 11. Robinson has started two games for the Sharks this season, recording 11.5 total tackles, eight pass breakups and two interceptions in those contests. Against Iowa in Week 11, Robinson pulled in a pair of first-half interceptions and broke up six passes in Jacksonville's 55-19 victory.

Robinson was a cornerstone of the Jacksonville defense throughout the 2010 and 2011 seasons. He led the Sharks with eight interceptions and 23 pass breakups in 2010 and took his game to another level a year later. In the Sharks' ArenaBowl-winning 2011 season, Robinson recorded 11 interceptions and 46 pass breakups, establishing new single-season team records in each category and earning him a spot on the 2011 All-Arena First Team.

The Sharks also announced Monday that offensive lineman Michael Ola has been placed on the other league exempt list. Ola is headed to the CFL after signing with the Alouettes. Following Monday's transactions, the Sharks' roster remains at the league maximum of 24 active players.
