AFL Week 15 Power Rankings Announced

CHICAGO - The Arizona Rattlers (10-3) head into their bye holding the top spot in the AFL Power Rankings for the fourth consecutive week. The Rattlers edged the Iowa Barnstormers (5-8) 55-48 in Week 14 for their tenth win of the year.
The Milwaukee Mustangs (4-8) gave the Philadelphia Soul (10-3) all they could handle, but the Soul rallied back to squash Milwaukee's bid for a second consecutive upset. Philadelphia's 69-62 victory propelled them up one spot to number two this week. Philadelphia hosts the defending ArenaBowl champions, the Jacksonville Sharks (6-6) in Week 15.
Despite a quality win over the New Orleans VooDoo (5-7) in Week 14, the San Antonio Talons (9-3) once again find themselves dropping a spot in the AFL Power Rankings following a victory. The Soul edged the Talons this week based on total number of wins and winning percentage. The Talons do possess the longest winning streak in the AFL, claiming victory in six straight games. San Antonio hosts the Barnstormers in Week 15.
The San Jose SaberCats (9-4) bounced back from defeat in Week 13 to beat the Orlando Predators (1-11) for their sixth home victory of the season. With Arizona on a bye this week, San Jose will have the opportunity to tie the Rattlers for wins with a victory over the Kansas City Command (2-10) in Week 15.
The Utah Blaze (8-5) moved back into the top five after handing the Chicago Rush (7-5) their worst loss in franchise history. Utah's 68-28 home win propelled the team back into the playoff picture, but their Week 15 game against the Spokane Shock (7-5) will be equally important in bringing clarity to the postseason bracket.
The AFL Power Rankings are calculated on AFLFieldPass.com using vPower(tm), a scoring system based on winning percentage, strength of schedule, scoring percentage, and win-streak. The scale is normalized from 0 (lowest) to 100 (highest).
