Sharks Offer Unique 'Girls Night Out'

July 1, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Jacksonville Sharks News Release

Jacksonville, FLA - The Jacksonville Sharks announce the First Annual AFL 101 for Women will be held July 15 from 7-9 pm at Dave & Busters.

This women's only event is a clinic hosted by the Sharks coaches and players that will teach women the fundamentals of the AFL in an entertaining atmosphere. The event will cover all aspects of the game from the basics to the subtle nuances of the game including the different positions on the field, the differences between the arena and outdoor game, even the equipment the players wear (and they will show you!).

"According to past AFL marketing surveys, the AFL has shown as high as 51% of people that attend AFL games are women," stated Managing Partner, Jeff Bouchy. "Women are huge fans of the AFL and it only made sense to have an event specifically for women about our game. It will be a fun night that you won't want to miss."

AFL 101 for Women is more than just a clinic on football - it's more of a dinner theater. The event will include a dinner with two drink tickets, goodie bags and door prizes to accompany the football clinic. The event is only $50, $40 for Season Ticket Holders.

The First Annual AFL 101 for Women has limited availability. To reserve your place for the July 15 event, or for more details, contact Josh Bratovich at 621.0700 ext 3 or josh@jaxsharks.com.
