Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that WR Raul Vijil has been placed on the Injured Reserve List. In another roster move, WR Greg Orton has been added to the roster.
Orton, who was in training camp with Shock earlier this season, signed as free agent contract with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2009 after he finished an outstanding career at Purdue. As a Boilermaker, Orton played in 50 games and recorded 203 receptions (fifth in school history) for 2,356 yards (sixth in school history) and 13 touchdowns.
Although the release for this weekend's game has not been released, Orton will eligible to play. Friday night, the Shock will host the Arizona Rattlers on Spokane Tribe Field at 8 PM. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
