
'Sharks End Losing Streak

Camden Riversharks News Release
Carlos Vasquez pitched into the 9th inning as the Riversharks ended their three-game losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Road Warriors. Jay Marshall came on in the 9th inning for the final out of the game and picked up his 4th save of the season.
Vasquez (8-3) allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out six in 8.2 innings, his longest outing of the season.
Omar Javier (0-2), in his first start, took the loss allowing four runs on five hits in four innings of work.
The Road Warriors got on the board in the top of the 1st without recording a base hit. After Adrian Ortiz was hit by a pitch, he stole second and third base before scoring on Melvin Dorta's groundout.
Camden tied the game up at 1-1 in the bottom of the 1st as Danny Richar drew a bases loaded walk that scored Lloyd Turner.
The Riversharks took the lead in the bottom of the 3rd inning with two runs. Pedro Feliz drove home Lloyd Turner with an RBI single and Danny Richar followed that up with an RBI triple to give Camden a 3-1 lead.
Jonel Pacheco added to the 'Sharks lead in the 4th with a solo home run down the right field line, his 3rd of the season, to increase the lead to 4-1.
Lloyd Turner continued his strong night in the 6th inning with an RBI single that scored Jonel Pacheco to make it 5-1 Camden.
Turner was 2-for-3 on the night and scored twice.
