Sharks Continue to Add Talent to 2021 Roster

JACKSONVILLE - The 2019 National Arena League champion Jacksonville Sharks announced today the signing of Defensive Lineman LaMichael Fanning, Wide Receiver Andre Williams, and Defensive Back Cristophe Page.

LaMichael Fanning (6'7, 275) signed for his second year of arena football and first season with the Sharks. He spent the 2019 season with the Columbus Lions where he played in nine games recording 10 tackles, three for a loss, three QB hits, two sacks for eight yards, and one blocked kick. Fanning began his college career at the University of Alabama where he spent three seasons under coach Nick Saban (2011-2013). He played in a total of 11 games for the Crimson Tide including eight as a redshirt freshman in 2012. After transferring to Jacksonville State, he became a First Team All-OVC stand out for the Gamecocks amassing 32 tackles, 19 solo tackles, three QB hurries, one sack, and one forced fumble. The 6'7 defensive lineman helped the 2014 Gamecocks to a 10-2 record, an Ohio Valley Conference Championship, and a second-round FCS playoff appearance against Sam Houston State.

Fanning is from Whitesville, GA, and played at multiple high schools but spent the majority of his time at Harris County High School. During his high school football career, he was a four-star prospect, ranking 14th in the nation at defensive end by ESPNU. Fanning received offers from Georgia, Auburn, Clemson, and Florida State to name a few before committing to Alabama his senior year.

Andre Williams (6'2, 205) signed for his second year of arena football and first with the Jacksonville Sharks. During the 2019 season, Williams played for the Boston Bandits of the New England Football League (NEFL). Andre spent his rookie season of arena football with the Boston Blaze of the Can-Am Indoor Football League in 2017. Williams also played for the Albany Metro Mallers of the World Football Federation (WFF) in 2015. Williams will join the Sharks as a receiver in 2021 but had a very successful college career at the JUCO level as a running back. Williams played for Dean College and rushed for over 476 yards on 112 carries and scored eight rushing touchdowns as a freshman. In 2011, Williams and the Bulldogs finished the year 8-1 and the 11th ranked NJCAA team in the nation. The Bulldogs earned an NJCAA Bowl invitation to play in the Valley of the Sun Bowl in Phoenix, AZ where they defeated #18 ranked Glendale Community College in a 26-25 nailbiter. Williams finished his college career as a Second Team JUCO All-American.

Williams is from Nashua, NH, and played high school football at Nashua North High School where he started at running back and also played defensive back. During his high school career in his home state of New Hampshire, he was the team's leading running back rushing for over 2,500 yards and 3,400 all-purpose yards. During his senior year, he ranked as the sixth overall best runningback in the state of New Hampshire. Williams lettered in both football and track & field before graduating.

Cristophe Page (5'11, 185) signed for his rookie season of arena football with the Jacksonville Sharks. Page spent his college career at Catawba College, a Division II school in Salisbury, NC. In 2017, he helped the Indians to a 9-2 record. Page is a native of Conyers, GA where he played for Heritage High School. During his time at Heritage, he was an All-Region cornerback combining for 52 tackles, 17 pass breakups, and led the state of Georgia in interceptions with nine.
