JACKSONVILLE, FL- The Jacksonville Sharks have signed linebacker Brandon Munoz and kicker Marc Orozco as free agency continues for the upcoming season. Both players contributed to the 2023 National Arena League Championship.

Brandon Munoz came into 2023 for his rookie campaign and made a name for himself on both sides of the ball. On the defensive side of the ball, Munoz posted 22 tackles with 3.5 sacks. Offensively he contributed 44 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown, while also posting five catches for 60 yards and one receiving touchdown as well. As defensive end at Wheeling State University, Munoz ended his career with an impressive 168 totals, 41 TFL's (tackle for loss) , 17 sacks and six forced fumbles.

The Sharks also signed two-time NAL champion (2022,2023) kicker Marc Orozco. Orozco is a former standout of Grambling State University where he earned All SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) his senior season, while also being named on two All-American lists. Orozco's season with the Sharks was cut short last year after suffering a knee injury in Week 10. In the three games Orozco appeared in last season, he made four deuces, two rouge points, and went 15 for 18 in PATs (Point after Touchdown). There are 3 phases in arena football: Offense, Defense, and Special Teams. The Sharks have solidified a major part of that 3rd phase by the re-signing of a dynamic kicker in Marc Orozco.
