JACKSONVILLE, FL - The Sharks have added two more players to the defensive side of their roster before the kickoff of the 2024 season. Taye Vereen DL (6'2", 310 lb) from University of North Carolina Pembroke and Sir Zion Dance LB (5' 11, 225 lb) from Tiffin University.

Vereen played as an offensive lineman in high school where he earned three-straight All-Conference spots and All-Area Laurels as a senior. He only allowed five sacks over the three previous years. At UNC Pembroke, Vereen played on the defensive side of the ball racking up 22 solo tackles including six tackles for a loss. He also had the game winning interception in UNC Pembroke's Homecoming victory over the Mountain East Conference (MEC) co-leader Charleston.

Dance played linebacker at Tiffin University and was a dominant player in the win over Dominican. Dance led the defense with nine tackles, three of which were solo, four sacks, and two forced turnovers. Both of these players bring skill and determination to the Sharks 2024 roster.
