Jacksonville Sharks News Release

JACKSONVILLE - The four-time South Division Champion Jacksonville Sharks announced the team's local television broadcast schedule on Tuesday. For the 2014 season, the team will continue its partnership with WJXT for three high-definition local broadcasts of Sharks home games.

"We are very excited to continue our partnership with WJXT," Sharks Managing Partner Jeff Bouchy said. "As we enter our fifth season as a franchise, Shark fans have built up a reputation as one of the rowdiest home crowds in the league. Our local broadcasts continue to give us a great opportunity to showcase to our community what the Shark Tank is all about."

"This is a football town, and the Sharks play an incredibly fun brand of football," said Bob Ellis, WJXT Channel 4 Vice President & General Manager. "We're thrilled to continue our broadcasts this year. If you haven't been to a game, catch one on TV. You'll instantly see it's a great family sports event."

The Sharks and WJXT will team up for three high-definition broadcasts in 2014, as Cole Pepper (play-by-play) and Jerry Odom (analyst) return for their second season as the Sharks' local broadcast tandem. This will be Odom's fourth overall season as part of the Sharks' local television broadcasts.

Fans throughout the Jacksonville area will be able to catch the AFL's two newest teams and the Sharks' biggest rival on local television, as WJXT will air Jacksonville's games against the Portland Thunder (Week 7), Orlando Predators (Week 10), and Los Angeles KISS (Week 20).

WJXT will also give fans a weekly in-depth look at the Sharks through "Sharks Football Insider," a weekly show that will air on Friday nights at 11:15 p.m. "Sharks Football Insider" will showcase the Sharks through interviews with players and coaches, feature stories, and more.

In addition to the local broadcasts, the Sharks will also be featured on national television four times in 2014. The vast majority of the team's remaining games will air live online via ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app.
