
Stanley Named Offensive Player of the Week

SAN JOSE, Calif. -The Arena Football League and the SaberCats announced today that San Jose rookie quarterback Nathan Stanley has been named Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts during Week 2. Stanley earned this award for his performance this past Sunday in San Jose's 70-33 win over the Philadelphia Soul.
In Stanley's first career AFL start, he led the team to a victory with a stat line of 18-of-28 passing for 249 yards and six touchdowns and no turnovers. He also added a rushing touchdown while driving the SaberCats offense to touchdowns on every one of their possessions this past Sunday.
The SaberCats (2-0) hit the road on Saturday, March 29 as they take on Pittsburg Power (0-1) at 2.00 p.m. PT at the Consol Energy Center. The game will be broadcast live on TV on Comcast Sports Net and on the radio at KNBR 1050.
