Sharks Announce Local Television Schedule

JACKSONVILLE, FLA - The Jacksonville Sharks announce the local television broadcast schedule for the 2011 regular season. The Sharks will broadcast five home games locally on WCWJ, CW17.

The Sharks and CW17 will continue a strong partnership to locally broadcast five home games over the air. CW17 will broadcast the Sharks live from Sea Best Field as they host the New Orleans VooDoo on March 26, the Cleveland Gladiators on April 23, the Milwaukee Iron on June 18, the Tampa Bay Storm on June 25 and the Dallas Vigilantes on July 9.

"WCWJ CW17 and YourJax.com expect to build on the initial success of broadcasting five Sharks' games last season by doing the same thing again this season, only better," stated Marc Hefner, VP/General Manager of WCWJ. "The station is pleased to continue to bring exciting local sports programming to the viewers in the Jacksonville viewing area.

The Sharks went 4-1 in 2010 when appearing on Sea Best Field. In the first broadcast, Jacksonville witnessed a two-point victory over the Tulsa Talons after quarterback Aaron Garcia threw a touchdown pass with no time left on the game clock. CW17 also showed the First Coast victories over the Cleveland Gladiators, Alabama Vipers and Tampa Bay Storm.

The Jacksonville Sharks are members of the Arena Football League (AFL). The reigning South Division Champions play all home games on Sea Best Field at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. The Sharks return to action Saturday, March 12, 2011 in Arizona to battle the Rattlers. The Sharks return home Saturday, March 19, 2011 to take on division foe Georgia Force.
