
Seven magic number again for Havoc

HUNTSVILLE, AL - Bill Monkman recorded a natural hat trick as the Huntsville Havoc scored their second straight win over the Jacksonville Barracudas with a 7-3 win Friday night. The Havoc cruised past the Barracudas 7-2 last night.
Bill Monkman led the Havoc with his second hat trick of the season. He scored his first just 5:10 into the first period on a power play. He added his second three minutes later and finished the natural hat tick with 17:28 left in the second.
Chris Ferguson made the score 4-0 with an unassisted goal with 15:20 left in the second. Jacksonville cut the lead to 4-2 with second period goals by Chris Kovalcik and Ryan Webb. Jason Simon cut the lead to 4-3 with a power play goal just 1:20 into the third period.
The Havoc put the game away with three straight goals, the first a power play goal by Jeff Dams with 15:15 left. Craig Bushey added his eight goal of the season less than a minute later and James Patterson scored a short-handed goal with 11:26 left.
Nick Niedert got the win by stopping 22 shots. Jared Miskovic took the loss, he stopped 35. The Havoc outshot the Barracudas 42-25 and finished 2-of-7 on the power play.
The Havoc will host the Columbus Cottonmouths tomorrow night at 7:35 as Woody Anderson Ford presents Race Night.
