
Seven goals not enough for Chiefs

Despite scoring seven goals, three in the third period, the Spokane Chiefs dropped a 9-7 decision to the Seattle Thunderbirds on Monday night in the Spokane Arena. For the first time this season, the Chiefs have lost three in a row.
Bud Holloway had three goals and an assist and Jeremy Boyer had a pair of goals in the win.
Drayson Bowman had a season high five points for Spokane, two goals and three assists, and Stefan Ulmer had a goal and two helpers.
The Thunderbirds scored five first period goals in their last game in Spokane during the regular season. The Chiefs have a 6-2 lead in the season series.
Spokane outshot the Thunderbirds 33-30, including 17-3 in the third period.
The Chiefs will travel to Everett and Tri-City on Friday and Saturday, respectively. Spokane will return home on Tuesday, February 10th against the Kelowna Rockets.
