
Seven CF Montréal Academy Players Called up by Canada's U17 Team

MONTREAL - CF Montréal Academy players Alessandro Biello, Joaquim Coulanges, Gaël De Montigny, Ewan Derrien-Lairet, Étienne Godin, Dylan Pierre Alexis, and Antoine Sedar N'Diaye have been called up by the Canadian U17 team ahead of an upcoming youth national team camp taking place between October 2 and 7 at the Centre sportif Bois-de-Boulogne in Laval in preparation for the upcoming Concacaf U17 Championship, from February 11 to 26 in Guatemala, and qualifying for the 2023 U17 World Cup in Peru.
The seven players currently play with CF Montréal's U17 squad. The team kicked off its second season in MLS NEXT on September 18.
Alessandro Biello, Joaquim Coulanges and Antoine Sedar N'Diaye, all 16-year-old midfielders, joined the organization through the CF Montréal Pre-Academy respectively in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Gaël De Montigny, a 16-year-old defender, and Ewan Derrien-Lairet, a 15-year-old goalkeeper, also joined the CF Montréal Pre-Academy respectively in 2016 and 2017. Dylan Pierre Alexis and Étienne Godin joined the Academy in 2020 from CS Longueuil and CS Mont-Royal Outremont respectively.
