
Series Moves to Everett Even at 1-1

Everett Silvertips News Release
The Everett Silvertips fell to the Kelowna Rockets by a score of 3-2 tonight at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC. This was game two of the Western Conference Semi-Finals and the Silvertips and the Rockets are now even at one a piece.
Both of Everett's goals came on the power play. The first was at 5:31 of the first period after John Lammers pushed in a rebound at the backdoor off of a Peter Mueller shot. Kelowna then tied it up after Troy Bodie tipped in a shot 8:32.
The Rockets followed a scoreless second period with two unanswered goals late in the third session. The first came from Colin Joe, who earned his first playoff tally of his career. The second, and the game winner, was scored by Brent Howarth with a shot off of the post. Everett tried to rally and earned one more marker, on the power play, after Leland Irving was pulled and they had a two man advantage over Kelowna. Peter Mueller scored the goal.
All earning one assist a piece tonight for the Silvertips were John Lammers, Peter Mueller, Torrie Wheat and Ondrej Fiala. Leland Irving made 17 saves on 20 shots but takes the loss. Derek Yeomans turned away 25 of 27 to put another playoff win under his belt. On the power play Everett converted on two of five while Kelowna went scoreless on three chances. The Silvertips out shot the Rockets 27-20 in the hockey game.
The series moves south to Everett on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 11th and 12th. Both home games begin at 7:05pm.
