Sergei Kostitsyn Reports To Hamilton

MONTREAL, QC - Montreal Canadiens General Manager Bob Gainey announced today that forward Sergei Kostitsyn has reported to the Hamilton Bulldogs. Kostitsyn is scheduled to be on the ice when the Bulldogs practice at 10:00 a.m. this morning at Copps Coliseum.
Kostitsyn, 22, played in three pre-season games with Montreal recording one goal and five penalty minutes. The native of Novopolotsk, Belarus played in 16 games with the Bulldogs last season earning 13 points (five goals, eight assists) and 18 penalty minutes. The 6-foot, 190-pound right wing also competed in 56 games with the Canadiens in 2008-2009 registering 23 points (eight goals, 15 assists) along with 64 penalty minutes. Kostitsyn was drafted by Montreal in the 7th round, 200th overall in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Bulldogs host the Rockford IceHogs in their 2009-2010 home opener on Friday, October 9th at 7:30 p.m. at Copps Coliseum.
