
AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Portland Pirates defenseman Joe DiPenta has been suspended for one (1) game as a result of his actions in a game at Springfield on Oct. 3.
DiPenta was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 29.1 (supplementary discipline).
DiPenta will miss Portland's game on Friday (Oct. 9) at Albany.
