
Septimo Claimed by White Sox, Joins Barons

Prior to tonight's contest between theBayBears and Birmingham Barons at Regions Park, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the BayBears have made the following roster moves. LHP Leyson Septimo has been claimed off waivers by the Chicago White Sox and will join the Double-A Birmingham Barons in time for tonight's contest against the BayBears. Septimo posted a 2-1 record with a 6.37 ERA for the BayBears this season. He had four saves for the BayBears in 2010 while striking a 4.13 ERA. Septimo was on Arizona's 40-man roster and was recently placed on waivers. He will be available to pitch against the BayBears tonight. The BayBears currently have 23 active players on their roster with 1 on the disabled list.
