JACKSON GENERALS RECAP: - The Generals snapped their three game losing streak Sunday with a 3-1 victory over the Huntsville Stars at Joe W. Davis Stadium. With the Jackson win win and Tennessee Smokies loss, the Generals find themselves three games back in the division, with six to play in the first half. Joe Dunigan and Carlos Triunfel paced Jackson's 10-hit attack with two hits each. Triunfel reached base three times. Brandon Bantz was 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. No Stars batters recorded a multi-hit game. Tom Wilhelmsen (2-1) earned his first win as a starter this season, in his longest outing. Tom allowed one run on four hits in five innings. Taylor Stanton secured his second save of the year, working a perfect final 1.1 innings of the game. Huntsville starter Michael Bowman (2-4) was saddled with the loss.

AT A GLANCE: Taylor Stanton has allowed only 1 run in last 11 innings. In 8 games (3 GS) with Jackson, he is 0-1 with 2 saves and a 0.99 ERA (3 ER, 27.1 IP). He has limited opponents to a .221 average (21x95), while walking 5 and striking out 19. Bobby LaFromboise is 2-0 with 1.71 ERA (4 ER, 21.0 IP) in his last 15 relief appearances. LaFromboise has tossed at least 2.0 innings in 4 of his last 6 relief appearances.

TODAY'S STARTER: LHP Anthony Vasquez will make his team-leading 13th start of the season tonight at Huntsville. Vasquez in his last 3 starts, 5/29-6/8 is 1-0 with a 1.54 ERA in 23.1 IP, 4ER, 13 K, 2 BB. Vasquez won against Huntsville at Pringles Park on May 17th tossing 5 innings allowing 2 earned runs.

SHAFFER TO HIT IN DERBY: Jake Shaffer has confirmed that he will participate in the Southern League Homerun Derby on Monday June 20th at Pringles Park. The Derby will begin at 6 PM, followed by the Long Haul Bombers.

THREE BACK WITH SIX TO PLAY: The Generals trail the Tennessee Smokies by 3 games in the North Division standings with 6 games to play in the first half. The Generals finish the season with 1 more game at Huntsville and 5 games against Carolina at Pringles Park. The Smokies have 1 left at Carolina and wrap up the half at home against Chattanooga.

LOTS OF STARS: The Generals will have 7 representatives on the North Divison All-Star team on June 21st at Pringles Park. Pitchers Andrew Carraway, Jarrett Grube, Kenn Kasparek, Bobby LaFromboise and Erasmo Ramirez were joined by second baseman Kyle Seager and outfielder Jake Shaffer.

GENERALS ONLY VISIT TO "THE JOE": The Generals are making their first and only visit to the Southern League's oldest park, Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville. Joe Davis Stadium was built in 1985 and named after long time Huntsville mayor, Joe W. Davis.

2011 SL ALL-STAR GAME: The Generals host the Southern League's mid-summer classic at Pringles Park, Tuesday June 21st, with first pitch set for 7:15 PM. The Southern League Homerun Derby will be Monday, June 20th at 6 PM. The events are presented by State Farm. Pringles Park last hosted the All-Star Game in 1999.
