Sentinel Screening Selected as OnDeck's Small Business of the Month

TAMPA, Fla. - Sentinel Screening, located in Tampa, Florida, has been selected as the "OnDeck Small Business of the Month." The company's President and Chief Operating Officer Rachid Zahidi will be honored by the Tampa Yankees prior to their Saturday, Aug. 8 game against the Clearwater Threshers and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
OnDeck launched the Small Business of the Month Award program in partnership with Minor League Baseball to recognize small businesses that are making a positive impact in their local communities.
Sentinel Screening was founded in 2007 by Zahidi to create a culture and work environment of his own choosing and to have a positive impact on self, family, employees, clients, vendors and community. The company offers pre-employment screening products and services including criminal histories, drug screening, reference and credential checks and motor vehicle record searches, among others. They employ 12 full-time employees locally and hundreds of independent contractors in other states.
Sentinel Screening has been featured in FL Trend magazine, on Fox Baltimore, Chicagoland Television, ESPN Radio and numerous other radio shows. Zahidi is also a best-selling author.
OnDeck funds gave Sentinel Screening the ability to seamlessly expand new divisions and create brand awareness.
Sentinel Screening joins select small businesses across the U.S. who will be recognized by OnDeck and Minor League Baseball across more than 20 activation clubs this season.
