Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators couldn't solve the Akron RubberDucks pitching staff Friday night in losing 5-0 at FNB Field. Harrisburg managed just a single hit but walked seven times and left ten runners on base in the loss. With the win, Akron secured the season series against the Senators.
Seth Romero started and went the first three innings. He pitched into the fourth inning, allowing two runs in the fourth. He struck out four and walked four. Luis Reyes followed going 4.2 innings in relief. Reyes struck out five and allowed two earned runs. Gerardo Carrillo pitched the final 1.1 innings striking out three of the four batters he faced.
Jack Dunn singled in the fifth inning for the only hit for the Senators. Harrisburg went 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
The RubberDucks have taken three of the first four games of the series.
