
Sens Rally but Fall Short 6-5 in 10 Innings

Friday night the Senators fell behind 5-1 but rallied for three in the sixth and one in the eighth before falling 6-5 in ten innings. Jackson Cluff singled in Justin Connell to tie the game in the eighth at five after the Sens plated three in the sixth to come within a run.
Steven Fuentes started and went three innings. He struck out six and walked three. He left after having thrown 76 pitches in three innings. Erik Manoah, Jr. went two innings and allowed a run. Dakody Clemmer pitched an inning and allowed a run. Reid Schaller went two scoreless before turning the game over to Brian Gonzalez. Gonzalez allowed the placed runner to score an unearned run in the tenth inning. The pitching staff combined to strike out 15 Flying Squirrels.
Harrisburg outhit Richmond 14-6 in the game, but it didn't matter in the final tally. KJ Harrison and Justin Connell both hit solo home runs in the sixth inning. Dondrei Hubbard had three hits and drove in a run and scored a run. Jack Dunn drove in a run and had three hits. Jecksson Flores had two hits. The Senators went 3-for-13 with runners in scoring position.
The Senators didn't commit an error for the fifth time in six games. Harrisburg pitchers hit seven batters which is a franchise all-time high. Steven Fuentes hit five of the seven batters which is a franchise all-time high for one pitcher. Manager Tripp Keister was ejected when Dakody Clemmer was ejected for hitting a batter in the seventh inning. Jecksson Flores was ejected in the seventh inning.
The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play game five of their six-game series Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM beginning at 5:50 p.m.
