
Sens Offense Comes to Life in 9-3 Win

The Harrisburg Senators won for the first time in the second half, beating the Altoona Curve 9-3 Thursday night in Altoona. The Senators broke the game open by scoring seven times in the seventh inning, turning a 3-2 deficit into a 9-3 lead. The Senators sent 12 batters to the plate in the seventh inning, and they were helped by three Altoona errors.
Steven Fuentes started and went the first five frames. He allowed just one run on one hit but walked six while striking out five. He finished his outing by striking out the final batter of the fifth inning with two runners on base. Reid Schaller pitched the sixth inning and allowed two runs on one hit while walking two and striking out three. Andrew Lee followed Schaller and went two scoreless innings. Zach Brzykcy pitched the final frame retiring all three batters he faced.
Wilson Garcia had three hits in the game including a double and drove in two runs. Gilbert Lara had two hits and drove in three. Jackson Cluff went 2-for-4, scored twice, and had a run scoring triple to put the Sens on the board in the second inning. Justin Connell and Jack Dunn both doubled in the game. The Senators had twelve hits in the game.
Altoona committed three errors in the game. The Senators won the game despite walking eight batters. Harrisburg went 5-for-14 with runners in scoring position. Altoona leads the series this week two games to one.
