
Senators Split Two with Bowie

The Senators scored twice in the first and four times in the third to cruise to a 6-2 win in game 2 of their doubleheader with the Bowie Baysox Wednesday night. Wilson Garcia hit a two run first inning home run to give the Sens the lead. In game one, the Senators loaded the bases with one out in the seventh inning, trailing 4-2, but Garcia hit into a game ending double play. Bowie scored three runs in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie.
Franklyn Kilome started game one and went five innings, taking the loss allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits. Edgar Garcia and Danny Dopico both pitched scoreless innings. Carson Teel made the spot start in game two going three scoreless frames and allowing three hits. Curtis Taylor earned the win in his Sens debut, retiring all six batters he faced. Reid Schaller pitched the final two frames and allowed two runs on one hit.
The Senators had seven hits in game one. No Sens batter had two hits and there were no extra base hits. Harrisburg went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Wilson Garcia homered and doubled in game two. Justin Connell had two hits and drove in two runs. Harrisburg had ten hits in game two and went 3-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
The Senators committed two errors in game two, the first time committing two errors in a game in over two weeks. Bowie was officially the home team in game two since it was a make-up of a game postponed by rain in Bowie.
