Summary

The Harrisburg Senators rally for seven in the ninth to shock the Akron RubberDucks 7-3 on Saturday night at Canal Park. Despite the loss, the RubberDucks stay a game ahead of Richmond going into the final day of the first half.

Turning Point

After already tying the game with three in the ninth, Gilbert Lara struck for a grand slam off the batter's eye in center field to put Harrisburg ahead 7-3.

Mound Presence

Tanner Burns got the start for Akron tonight and looked strong striking out four of the first five batters. In total, Burns threw four hitless innings allowing only two walks and striking out five. Luis Oviedo tossed four innings allowing one hit, a walk and struck out four. Cade Smith followed with a third of an inning, giving up four runs. Kyle Marman threw two thirds of an inning allowing three runs.

Duck Tales

The RubberDucks started the scoring in the second inning with a two RBI double by Eric Rodriguez giving Akron a 2-0 lead. Chris Roller led off the bottom of the third with a solo home run furthering the Akron lead to 3-0.
