The Harrisburg Senators shut out the Richmond Flying Squirrels 4-0 Wednesday night at the Diamond in Richmond. With the win, the Senators evened the series at a game each. Harrisburg stole a run in the first inning when Jacob Young stole second and third and scored on a throwing error. The Sens tacked on two more runs in the fifth and another in the seventh. DJ Herz started and was terrific, earning his first Senators win.

The Big Play

With the Senators leading 1-0 and two outs in the fifth inning, Jacob Young tripled in Lucius Fox to give the Senators a 2-0.

On Capitol Hill

DJ Herz was outstanding, striking out ten of the 17 batters he faced. He allowed just one hit... Malvin Pena went two innings and allowed a hit... Reid Schaller pitched a scoreless inning... Zach Walters pitched a one, two, three ninth inning.

With the Gavel

Jacob Young went 3-for-3 with a triple, 2 RBIs and two runs. He extended his hitting streak to 11 games... Robert Hassell III had an RBI double.

Filibusters

The shutout is the eighth season this season for the Senators... The Sens stole a season-high six bases... The time of the game was 2:14... The attendance was 5,317.
