Selman and Young Join Wolves

GLENVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Wolves announced Tuesday that center Justin Selman has been reassigned to the club by St. Louis (NHL), and the Wolves have recalled defenseman Gus Young from loan to the Missouri Mavericks (ECHL).
Both Selman and Young skated with the Wolves during training camp earlier this month and were assigned to Missouri.
Following the conclusion of his senior year at the University of Michigan, Selman dressed for seven games with Chicago during the 2015-16 season and tallied two points (G, A). Through 114 games with the Wolverines, the New Jersey native - the first to play at Michigan since 2007 - registered 29 goals and 38 assists for 67 points.
Young joined the Wolves organization on Aug. 12, signing a standard player's contract. Young skated with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) during the 2015-16 season and the Worcester Sharks (AHL) in 2014-15. The Dedham, Massachusetts native played four years at Yale University, helping the school win its first NCAA Men's Ice Hockey Championship in 2013.
Selman and Young will be on the roster when the Wolves face their in-state rival, the Rockford IceHogs, for a home-and-home series that begins Friday (Oct. 28) in Rockford. The Wolves return home on Saturday (Oct. 29) for another Illinois Lottery Cup contest against the IceHogs and close out the weeknd with a 4 p.m. game against the 2016 Calder Cup champion Cleveland Monsters at Allstate Arena.
