Sell out Crowd Treated to Late Game Petes Win over Bulldogs

(Peterborough, ON) - After starting the season with nine road games and a 6-3-0-0 record, the Peterborough Petes defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-3 in front of a sell out crowd in their 2019 Home Opener on Thursday night.

After trailing 1-0 early, Chad Denault (2) and Mason McTavish (7) scored in the second period. The Petes overcame a 3-2 deficit with late goals from Nick Robertson (12) and Zach Gallant (3).

Tucker Robertson, Max Grondin, Declan Chisholm, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, Jacob Paquette, and David Maier each recorded single assists.

With points in tonight's game, Nick Robertson and Declan Chisholm extended their point streaks to 9 and 8 games, respectively.

Goaltender Hunter jones stopped 22 of 25 shots.

The Petes were 1/4 on the power play and 3/4 on the penalty kill.

The Petes are back on the road to take on two of the country's top teams. They'll face the 67's in Ottawa on Friday, October 18 at 7:00pm before visiting the undefeated Oshawa Generals on Sunday, October 20 at 6:05pm.

Peterborough's next home game is on Thursday, October 24 at 7:05pm when they host the Sarnia Sting.
