
Segovia Joins Lynx Staff

OTTAWA - The Lynx have added pitcher Zach Segovia to their roster and placed him on the Temporarily Inactive list, effective yesterday.
The 24-year-old righty started the season with the Lynx parent club in Philadelphia, making his Major League debut April 8th in Florida. Segovia allowed five runs over five innings, striking out two Marlins and walking one.
Last season, Segovia went a combined 16-6 between Single-A Clearwater and Double-A Reading. His 16 wins were tied for second most among all minor leaguers. He also won two games for Team USA at the Olympic qualifier in Cuba last August.
This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx home opener is scheduled for April 17th against the Charlotte Knights at 7:05pm.
