Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a three-game losing streak as they begin a three-game series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) at The Diamond. Last night, the SeaWolves blew a three-run, ninth inning lead as they dropped the series finale to Trenton 5-4 in 12 innings. It was the SeaWolves first extra innings loss and the first loss for Erie when leading after eight innings...Matt Crouse takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 14th appearance, eighth start and first appearance against the Flying Squirrels. Crouse rebounded from his worst appearance of the season in his last start against Akron on May 26, earning his fourth win. In the game, he shut out the Aeros for six innings, allowing two hits with four walks and three strikeouts in equaling a season-high six innings pitched. Erie won the game 7-2... LHP Carlos Teller takes the mound for the Flying Squirrels making his fourth start. Teller took a no-decision in his last start against Altoona on May 26. In the game, he allowed five runs on five hits with five walks and four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. Teller made three relief appearances with Class-A San Jose (0-1, 21.00 ERA) and two appearances with Triple-A Fresno (0-0,1.69 ERA)..The SeaWolves have not been in first place this deep into a season since the club won the Western Division title in 2007.
