Tonight, the SeaWolves return to Western Division play as they begin a huge three-game series against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) at Price George's Stadium. The âWolves are coming off of a loss on Sunday to the league's top team in Binghamton 5-1. Erie jumped ahead 1-0 after one inning but allowed five unanswered runs. The âWolves finished the seven-game homestand with a combined 4-3 record against the top two teams from the Eastern Division...The SeaWolves come into play on Tuesday one game back of first place Harrisburg in the Western Division. Both Erie and Harrisburg are 5-5 in their last 10 games. The âWolves are three games up on Bowie and 3.5 games ahead of Richmond in the wild card race...Right-hander Warwick Saupold takes the mound in game two for the SeaWolves making his 19th start and fifth against the Baysox. He is 3-0 with a no-decision and 3.18 ERA in his previous four starts against Bowie. Saupold tossed a gem in his last start against Trenton on August 8, only to take a no-decision. He allowed a run on five hits in eight-plus innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Erie lost the game 5-1 in 11 innings. Erie lost the lead with two outs in the ninth...RHP Mike Wright takes the mound for Bowie making 23rd start his and his third against the SeaWolves. Wright is 1-0 with a no-decision and a 2.25 ERA in his previous two starts against Erie.
