
SeaWolves avoid Sweep, beat Baysox, 5-3

Bowie, MD -- Kurt Airoso, Juan Tejeda and David Espinosa each hit home runs as the Erie SeaWolves beat the Bowie Baysox, 5-3 at Prince George's Stadium to avoid being swept.
Erie (11-12) got on the board in the first inning as Curtis Granderson drove in Espinosa to end Baysox starter Cory Morris' inning scoreless streak at 11. The SeaWolves scored a run in each of the first three innings.
The Baysox (16-10) scored in the second on a Walter Young two-run home run, his fifth of the season. But homers from Tejeda in the fifth and Espinosa in the ninth kept the SeaWolves in front.
Kenny Baugh (1-3) earned his first win of the season for Erie, going six innings allowing two earned runs on three hits, while striking out 8. Jason Karnuth recorded his sixth save of the season pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Morris (1-2) took the loss for the Baysox giving up four earned runs over four innings.
NOTES: Jerry Hairston, Jr. went 0-for-4 in the first game of his rehab assignment in Bowie...INF Mike Done was transferred to Bowie from Ottawa...RHP Brian Finch, who was 2-2 with a 1.44 ERA in five games with Delmarva will make his Baysox debut tomorrow night at 7:05 p.m. vs. the Altoona Curve...Tomorrow night is Dukes of Hazzard Night at Prince George's Stadium. Ben Jones (AKA "Cooter") from the popular 1980's hit show "The Dukes Of Hazzard" will be on hand to meet fans and sign free autographs. Joining him will be the #1 Rated "Car Superstar" in television history, "The General Lee!" Also making a special appearance will be "Kit" the talking car from popular 80's series Knight Rider.
