Seattle Storm News Release

Storm Falls to Sparks

The WNBA season opened with the Storm taking on Los Angeles on Sunday. Seattle started off well, shooting 50% in the first half, but halftime chilled Storm shooters. The Sparks scored nine of the first 11 points coming out of half, followed by a 15-1 run, and the Storm couldn't recover. Tina Thompson started her 437th game, making her the WNBA leader in that category, surpassing Taj McWilliams-Franklin. The Storm's next game is Opening Night against Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury at 6 p.m. at KeyArena on June 2.

What to Expect for Opening Night

Opening Night is here! The Storm tips off at 6 p.m. against Western Conference rival Phoenix Mercury. Doors will open 60 minutes before tip, with the first 3,000 fans receiving a free Storm T-shirt. The KeyArena East Box Office will open 90 minutes prior. If there is anything we can assist you with during the game, visit The Huddle (Storm Fan Headquarters) outside of Aisle 118.
