October 21, 2013 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release
PORT HURON, MI - The Port Huron Fighting Falcons, who currently hold a five-point lead for first place in the North American Hockey League's North Division, today announced a new promotion to give fans one last shot at great pricing on 2013-14 season ticket packages.
For the next three weeks, the team will offer ticket packages for the 25 games remaining on their home schedule at the same great rate as their full-season packages. For just $156.25, fans can lock in great savings and not miss another game.
If the team brings in 25 new season ticket holders, all season ticket holders, including those who purchased their tickets in the off-season, will be entered in a drawing for a brand new Fighting Falcons replica jersey. The newly-designed jersey is the last replica available for contests this season, unless fan interest warrants a second order.
The Fighting Falcons have won each of their first three games at McMorran Arena this season, and have jumped out to the top of the league standings, where their overall record of 9-2-2 puts them second in the league in points (20) and winning percentage (0.769). Port Huron leads the North Division in goals scored (43) and goals allowed (31).
"This team has had such a great start, and we wanted to make sure our fans know that it's not too late to be a part of what should continue to be a special season here at McMorran Arena," said Fighting Falcons Director of Operations Mike Reed. "We want all of our fans to have the opportunity to enjoy this success, as it truly isn't possible without them.
"Every player we've profiled on our website has mentioned how much it means to them to have the support of this great home crowd, and it's easy to see why," Reed added. "Our fans have a habit of cheering louder than crowds twice their size, and they are the number one reason this arena is such a great place to be on game days."
The Fighting Falcons have also announced the availability of eight-game "Flex Packs" for just $54, a $10 savings over box-office prices. "Flex Packs" are good for any eight games throughout the 2013-14 season.
To take advantage of either of these ticket offers, contact the Fighting Falcons front office at (810) 966-3800.
The team returns to McMorran Arena after a rare weekend off as they cap off a home-and-home series with the Michigan Warriors this Sunday at 4 p.m. The first 100 kids through the gates will receive a limited-edition Fighting Falcons mini-stick (limit 2 per family).
Karen Newman, the "Voice of the Detroit Red Wings," will sing the national anthem before Sunday's game.
As with all Sunday and Wednesday home games, the Fighting Falcons will offer the Family Four Pack for Sunday's matinee matchup. Fans can get four tickets, four drinks and four hot dogs for just $34.
Representatives from the "Taking a Shot at Breast Cancer" calendar are running a silent auction for pink Fighting Falcons warm-up jerseys, which the team will wear before their October 27 home game against the Michigan Warriors. Sunday's 50/50 raffle will also benefit the charity group.
