Sean Scott named AFL Ironman of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Philadelphia Soul wide receiver/linebacker SEAN SCOTT has been named the US Army Ironman of the Week for his efforts in last week's 66-35 victory over the Austin Wranglers. This marks the first time that the second-year veteran has earned an AFL weekly honor.

Scott (6-2, 200, Millersville) led the Philadelphia Soul (1-0) in all facets during their week one victory on Sunday. The Philadelphia native recorded six receptions for 99 yards and two touchdowns, including a 21-yard and 35-yard strike from QB TONY GRAZIANI, in the Soul's first season opening victory in team history. Scott added five solo tackles, three assists and forced a fumble on defense.

Tampa Bay Storm quarterback SHANE STAFFORD and Orlando Predators defensive specialist DAMON MASON were also honored as they were named Offensive Player and ADT Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.

The Soul hit the road again this Sunday, February 6 when they travel to Chicago to take on the Rush. Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm (ET) and can be seen live on NBC Sports (NBC-10 WCAU-Philadelphia). The Soul return to Philadelphia for their home opener on Sunday, February 13 when the host the expansion Nashville Kats.
