Sean Pronger Assigned To Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (October 11, 2003) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Sean Pronger to Syracuse.

Pronger, 30, returns to the Crunch after appearing in 78 games with Columbus last season recording 7 goals, 6 assists and 72 penalty minutes. In 2001-02 Pronger split time between Columbus (26gp, 3g, 1a and 4 PIM's) and Syracuse (54gp, 23g, 26a, and 53 PIM's). A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Pronger has appeared in 257 career NHL games with Anaheim, Pittsburgh, NY Rangers, Los Angeles, Boston and Columbus. Pronger was claimed off waivers by Columbus on May 18, 2001.

The Crunch's home schedule begins tonight, October 11, when the Hershey Bears visit the War Memorial at Oncenter for the Express Mart Opening Night, followed by the Labatt post-game concert featuring The Jets, presented by Syracuse New Times, TK99 and Sunny 102.
