Lakeland Loggerheads News Release
LAKELAND, Fla. â The Orlando Seals exacted a bit of revenge against the Lakeland Loggerheads last night beating them by a score of 4-1 at TD Waterhouse Center.
In their previous meeting, the underdog Loggerheads came into the Seals building and took two points with a 2-1 victory. Last night was another story however.
The Seals threw 54 shots at the Loggerheads and goaltender Tyler Murray. B.J. Stephens led the attack for Orlando with a pair of goals and an assist.
Lakeland ruined the shutout bid when team Captain, Rob Schweyer scored late in the third period assisted by the Milliea cousins, David and Owen.
The Loggerheads head to Miami for a weekend set with the Manatees on Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th. Lakeland's next home game is Friday January 23rd at 7:05pm vs. the Macon Trax. There will be a free post-game concert featuring two local bands, "Death After Texas" and "As You Wish".
The Loggerheads face off with the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Orlando Seals, Miami Manatees and the Macon Trax in the WHA2's inaugural season. All games will be broadcast on www.irn.fm.
