Week in Review

The Sea Dogs played in three games this week, all against the Eagles and picked up 5 of a possible 6 points against the Cape Breton based team.

First, the Sea Dogs hit the road to play at Centre 200, falling to the home team in overtime on Wednesday. Cole Burbidge and Brady Burns scored the goals in the 3-2 loss.

Friday, the team returned to TD Station and beat the Eagles 4-3 in regulation. Goals came from veteran players Cam MacDonald, Connor Trenholm, and Brady Burns scored two for the win. After the final whistle, Burns was assessed a game misconduct and it was later announced that he was given a five game suspension in violation of the QMJHL's anti-discrimination policy. A statement from President and General Manager Trevor Georgie can be read here.

Saturday, the Sea Dogs played their final game before the holiday break and the opening of the trade period, finishing the first half of the season with another win against the Eagles. Cam MacDonald netted a hat trick, Ventsislav Shingarov made 54 saves, and Eriks Mateiko, Alexis Cournoyer, and Cole Burbidge scored in the 6-3 win at home.

Upcoming Games

The Sea Dogs are on break and will return to action at TD Station on December 28th, when they take on the Charlottetown Islanders at 7 PM. The two teams have met twice already this season, with each taking a win.

The Sea Dogs will then head on the road to play in Bathurst on December 30th before returning home for an afternoon game with intermission performances by Wannabe: A Spice Girls Tribute on New Year's Eve.

The special 2 PM start time on December 31st means you can Spice Up Your Game with the whole family before your New Year's Eve Party! Start the celebrations early with the Sea Dogs.

Tickets for both home games are available at the TD Station Box Office and online.

Spice Up Your Game is presented by Saint John Hyundai, I love my Hyundai.
