The Saint John Sea Dogs (35-17-1-3) return home to host the Gatineau Olympiques (31-13-9-2) at TD Station tonight at 7 PM. Kicking off the first of three important home games this week, as Gatineau is only one point behind Saint John in the standings. Both teams clinched their spots in the playoffs this week.
The teams have met once already this season in Gatineau, with the Olympiques taking the 5-3 win on November 17th.
Saint John is on a three game win streak, getting all six points on their Nova Scotia road trip last week, with a 6-4 win over Halifax, and two wins over Cape Breton. William Dufour broke the record for most goals scored in a single season by a Sea Dog with his two goals in the 5-1 win over Cape Breton on Saturday.
Gatineau is also on a three game win streak, beating Shawinigan twice and Drummondville once, where netminder Eve Gascon earned her first QMJHL win. Simon Pinard leads the team in scoring with 79 points on the season.
Puck drop is at 7 PM, the doors at TD Station open at 6. Please bring your tickets originally printed for January 21 to enter.
