Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, Nov. 28, 2006 - You can now buy your Sea Dogs tickets and print them yourself, all from the comfort of your home computer chair. And, there's no additional charge for this service.
The Saint John Sea Dogs and Harbour Station have introduced an on-line ticketing service for upcoming hockey games, starting with this Saturday's contest against the Baie-Comeau Drakkar (Dec. 2).
Fans wishing to purchase their Sea Dogs tickets on-line should visit the team's website at www.saintjohnseadogs.com.
"We are thrilled to be able to offer this service to our fans," said David Turk, executive director of the Sea Dogs. "Having the ability to purchase and print tickets from your home or office will no doubt help us in our efforts to reduce lineups at the Harbour Station box office."
Turk said the Sea Dog organization is not aware of any other sports team in North America that doesn't add a service charge to on-line ticket purchases.
"We felt it was important to offer our fans a free service," he said. "We recognize that there are many entertainment options available and we have to continually provide our fans with excellent customer service."
Mike Caddell, general manager of Harbour Station, noted that the new on-line ticket system is equipped with the latest encryption technology, "ensuring a safe and secure buying experience."
He explained that each printable on-line ticket is uniquely bar-coded. "Fans with printed tickets will be able to avoid the lineups."
Caddell noted that Sea Dogs tickets will be the first to go on-line. "Tickets to concerts and other Harbour Station events will available in the very near future," he said.
