
Sea Dogs Set For Minor League Spring Training

Portland Sea Dogs News Release
Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs, Double-A affiliate of the World Champion Boston Red Sox, have announced their 2008 Spring Training information and schedule. The first full squad workout for the Red Sox minor leaguers will take place on Sunday, March 9th. The Sea Dogs first Spring Training game is slated for Friday, March 14th against the New Britain Rock Cats (Twins). The Sea Dogs will train at the Red Sox minor league complex in Fort Myers, Florida.
The Sea Dogs will play a total of 13 games. The Sea Dogs will be playing teams whose affiliates are located in close proximity to the Red Sox training camp (Orioles, Pirates, Reds, and Twins). Eight of the 13 contests will take place against the Twins organization, whose Spring Training complex is also located in Fort Myers. All game times are scheduled for 1:00 PM.
The Portland Sea Dogs are due to arrive in Portland on Monday, March 31st .
The Portland Sea Dogs open their 15th season, presented by Northeast Delta Dental on April 3rd at New Britain. The home opener is slated for Friday, April 11th at 6:00 PM against the New Britain Rock Cats.
