SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled defenceman Thomas Ashe from the Amherst Ramblers of the Maritime Hockey League.

Ashe, who turned 18 in January, has one goal and seven points, along with 46 penalty minutes in 40 games in his first season with the Ramblers. The Dieppe-native made his QMJHL debut with Saint John on November 22nd and scored a goal in the Sea Dogs' win over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. He also played two preseason games with Saint John at the 2017 Rookie Challenge tournament.

Listed at 6'0" and 182 lbs., he was originally selected by the Sea Dogs in the ninth round (159th overall) of the 2016 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Ashe is scheduled to join the team in time for tonight's game against the Moncton Wildcats at 7 p.m. at Harbour Station. Tickets are available at the Harbour Station Box Office and online.
