Saint John Sea Dogs News Release

SAINT JOHN, NB --- The Saint John Sea Dogs have announced that the team's January 30 home game versus the Val-d"or Foreurs has been designated Salute to the Navy Night in honour of the Canadian Navy Centennial.

A special ceremony paying tribute to the Canadian Navy's 100th anniversary will be held at Harbour Station prior to the Saturday night match (puck drop: 7pm). Throughout the evening, fans will also be able to visit a display booth on the arena concourse which will highlight Canada rich naval history, to which Saint John has contributed greatly.

The aim of the Canadian Naval Centennial is to build and strengthen in Canadians an appreciation for their navy and to promote the role of the navy within the Canadian Forces in a maritime nation like Canada. The theme is to "Bring the Navy to Canadians" and events will be focused to honour the past, to showcase the current navy, and to reinforce the requirement for the future navy.

Currently leading the QMJHL with a record of 38-7-1-0, the Sea Dogs will embark upon a three-game road trip through the province of Quebec this coming weekend. Saint John's next home game will be played on Friday, January 29 at 7:30pm versus Val-d'Or. Tickets to all upcoming Sea Dogs home games are available online 24/7 at www.tickets.harbourstation.ca.
