
Sea Dogs advance to Eastern Legue Championship Series

Portland, Maine- The Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Trenton Thunder (Yankees) 4-3 Saturday night at Hadlock Field in game four of the Eastern League Northern Division Series to advance to the Eastern League Championship Series for the second straight season. Brandon Moss hit a solo walk-off home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game for the Sea Dogs. It is the fourth time in franchise history the Sea Dogs have advanced to the Eastern League Championship Series, most recently during the 2005 season. Portland has never won an Eastern League Championship.
The Sea Dogs will face the winner of the Southern Division Series between Altoona Curve (Pirates) /Akron Aeros (Indians). That series is currently tied at two games apiece. The series heads back to Altoona for a decisive game five. The Eastern League Championship Series gets under way on Tuesday, September 12th at either Canal Park (Akron) or Blair County Ballpark (Altoona). Games one and two will be played at the home of the Southern Division winner. Game two is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th. Games three, four (in necessary) and five (if necessary) will be played at Hadlock Field. Games three is scheduled for Friday, September 15th.
Tickets for the Eastern League Championship Series for Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Hadlock Field are currently on sale at Hadlock Field Box Office. Ticket prices are the same as the regular season tickets and range between $3.00 and $8.00. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Sea Dog Box Office at 207-879-9500 or at the Hadlock Field Ticket Office. The Ticket Office opens at 9:00AM on Monday.
