Screaming Eagles to Host Tenth Annual Irish Jersey Raffle
March 10, 2016 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL)
Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Sydney - On Friday, March 18th the Screaming Eagles will wear special Irish themed jerseys in memory of past president Greg Lynch, when they host the Saint John Sea Dogs. It will be the tenth year for the event, which has raised over $108,000 to date in support of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
Funds raised at this years raffle will provide financial assistance to patients with cancer for prescriptions, travel and other medical expenses.
Once again this year, the jerseys have been donated by three community-minded businesses: Ron May Group, S&M Trucking and Cape Breton Beverages. This allows 100% of all funds raised to go directly to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
During the game, fans can purchase raffle tickets for their chance to win one of 24 custom jerseys. The raffle tickets are $5 each and will be available only at Centre 200. The winning tickets will be drawn during the third period and the winners will join the Screaming Eagles on the ice to collect their jerseys.
The Screaming Eagles are in Bathurst this weekend to face the Titan Friday and Saturday night, before returning home next weekend for back to back games against the Saint John Sea Dogs to conclude the regular season. Purchase your tickets for Friday, March 18th and Saturday, March 19th (4pm puck drop) at the Centre 200 box office or online at tickets.capebreton.ca.
