
Screaming Eagles Name Martineau Captain, Batherson & Fournier

SYDNEY- The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have announced their captain and alternate captains for the 2017-18 QMJHL season.
Forward Phélix Martineau will serve as the club's captain. Martineau is the longest serving member of the team, in his fourth season in Cape Breton after being chosen in the fifth round of the 2014 entry draft. The 20 year old has compiled 11 points in 16 games this season, and scored 28 goals in 2016-17.
Fellow forwards Drake Batherson and Jordan Ty Fournier have been named alternate captains. Batherson, a draft pick of the Ottawa Senators, is in his second full season in the QMJHL and currently leads the league in scoring with 29 points in 15 games. He was chosen by the Screaming Eagles in the sixth round of the 2015 QMJHL draft. Fournier is in his third season with Cape Breton, and his fourth season in the league after he was acquired in a deal with Victoriaville. This season Fournier has notched ten points in 16 contests.
The Screaming Eagles are next in action on Saturday, October 28th, in the annual Pink In The Rink game against the Halifax Mooseheads. Puck drop is at 7 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the Centre 200 box office, by phone at 902-564-2200 or online at https://tickets.capebreton.ca
