Scott Pooley Commits to Holy Cross

MUSKEGON, Michigan (December 16th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are proud to announce that Forward Scott Pooley has made his college commitment to play for the College of Holy Cross Crusaders out of the Atlantic Hockey Association following his junior career.

Pooley, the Granger, Indiana native, is currently in his first season with the Lumberjacks and has totaled 16 points (8 goals and 8 assists) to go along with a plus-two rating in 27 games played. The forward was a free agent pick up by the Lumberjacks before the team's regular season opener on Saturday, September 21st in Green Bay.

"When talking with my family, we agreed that it was a tremendous opportunity for me both academically and athletically to attend Holy Cross," said Pooley. "It was always my goal to get back out to the east coast where I grew up (in North Providence, Rhode Island), so it's a perfect fit for me in the end."

Prior to coming to Muskegon, Pooley spent the 2012-13 season with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons out of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) recording 25 points (14 goals and 11 assists) in 58 games played. Before playing in Alberta, Pooley spent two seasons with the Chicago Mission Under-18 Team from 2010-12.

Following the league-wide two-week holiday break, the Lumberjacks will return home for the team's only Sunday home game of the season on December 29th against the Youngstown Phantoms at 5:15 pm that will feature Car Load Night. Fans can pile any number of people into one car for the low price of $40 that will include a ticket to the game along with a complimentary parking pass.

Individual game tickets will be on sale for the next two weeks for the December 29th home game for the low price of $10 for adults and $6 for children ages 3-12 if they are purchased before the day of the game. Tickets can be purchased at the Lumberjacks' Box Office or by calling (231) 724-5225.

The exclusive radio home for the Muskegon Lumberjacks all season long is 92.5 FM WLAW "The Outlaw" as Bryan Fongers delivers the call beginning ten minutes prior to puck drop.
