Indiana Ice News Release
DASHING THROUGH THE SNOW: A pair of weekend wins against Muskegon on Friday and Cedar Rapids on Saturday leap-frogged Indy to within one point of Eastern Conference leaders Team USA and Dubuque. In Friday's 3-1 home victory, Jason Pawloski silenced Muskegon through the first 54 minutes making 26 saves, while Tyler Andrew, Denis Smirnov and Joseph Sullivan found twine for the Ice. Scott Conway (2G, A) and Dwyer Tschantz (G, 2A) took over the reins on Saturday combining for six points on the road as the Ice corralled the RoughRiders 5-1. Jason Salvaggio and Aidan Muir also tallied goals and Pawloski stopped 26 again between the pipes.
HOLIDAY POINT LAMPS: Scott Conway continues to lead the Ice's offensive attack as the Penn State University commit recorded four points (2G, 2A) in two games over the weekend and has points in each of his past three games. Though 22 contests this season, Conway leads all Icemen in points (24), goals (13), power play goals (4), multiple goal games (3) and games with three-or-more points (3).
FIVE GOLD RINGS: Tyler Andrew continues to contribute through the middle stretch of the season as the Ferris State University commit is riding a five-game point streak that includes three goals and five assists. Through 20 games this season, Andrew is currently fourth on the team in scoring with 14 points (6G, 8A).
SIX GEESE A LAYING: Ice goaltender Jason Pawloski has been doing the exact opposite as the first-year netminder is riding a six-game winning streak stretching back to late November, allowing only one goal on three of the six games. During the stretch, Pawloski has registered a .922 save percentage and a 1.97 GAA.
